 Course Description:

This exciting course combines effective modalities for the school based therapist.  Anne Buckley-Reen, a much sought after consultant, has designed and effectively implemented therapeutic classroom programs across the United States.  This course is appropriate for both regular and special education populations from preschool through high school.  This course addresses difficulties in behavior, attention, auditory processing, organization, memory, motivation, motor planning, coordination, handwriting and everything in between.  Anne’s background, research and experience in developmental interventions including sensory processing, neuroimmunology, yoga, auditory programs and behavioral strategies have been incorporated into this dynamic 2 day presentation.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will learn:

1. Where to begin and how to identify underlying and contributing causes of school difficulties.
2. How to prioritize treatment approaches for maximum effectiveness.
3. Guidelines for measuring and documenting progress.
4. How to document change.
5. A variety of treatment approaches and recommendations as to: “how, why, when and for how long”.
6. How to implement effective classroom strategies
7. Structuring developmentally appropriate therapy sessions to enhance outcomes.
8. How to communicate effectively with teachers and parents
